Certified Documentation Expert Outpatient

With our CDEO On-Demand class, you will learn all of the necessary information to pass the exam with the AAPC. Students will have access to materials for 12 months. Our on-demand classes not only include PowerPoint videos, but also pre-recorded sessions of the instructor, in a classroom....just as if you are sitting in the front row!

Ohana Coding's Certified Documentation Expert Outpatient (CDEO) training prepares the student for the Certified Documentation Expert Outpatient (CDEO) exam through the AAPC. Real world coding scenarios and exam taking techniques are covered in the class. Proficiency across the covered material, which include:

Proficient knowledge of pathophysiology, coding and billing guidelines, and quality measures.
Ability to clarify the underlying cause of a presented symptom
They are able to substantiate present-on-admission issues and/or identify potentially preventable complications.
Mastery of CPT®, HCPCS Level II, and ICD-10-CM coding guidelines.
Expertise in health care regulatory compliance

Hours of education: 16. Earn 16 CEUs if currently AAPC certified. CDEO on-demand students are provided with two hours of one-on-one sessions with a CPC-I (Certified Professional Coder-Instructor), to be scheduled between the instructor and student. The sessions are used to clarify any questions and review notes to prepare for the exam. Tuition includes textbook, homework assignments, and practice exams.

Required books for 2020 classes, not included: 2020 CPT, 2020 ICD-10-CM, and 2020 HCPCS.

CDEO examinees must be a current member of AAPC, however, membership is not required to participate in class.
