With our Risk Adjustment Live In-Person or Virtual and On-Demand class, you will learn all of the necessary information to pass the CRC exam with the AAPC.  Students will have access to materials for 12 months.  The live class is 5 evenings of instructor led education.  Our on-demand classes not only include PowerPoint videos but also pre-recorded sessions of the instructor, in a classroom....just as if you are sitting in the front row!

Ohana Coding's Risk Adjustment Coder training prepares the student for the Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (CRC) exam through the AAPC.  Real-world coding scenarios and exam-taking techniques are covered in the class.  Proficiency across the covered material, which include:

​

• Expertise in reviewing and assigning accurate medical codes for diagnoses performed by physicians and other qualified healthcare providers in the office or facility setting (e.g., inpatient hospital)

• A sound knowledge of medical coding guidelines and regulations including compliance and reimbursement – allowing a Risk Adjustment Coder to understand the impact of diagnosis coding on risk adjustment payment models

• Understand the audit process for risk adjustment models

• Ability to identify and communicate documentation deficiencies to providers to improve documentation for accurate risk adjustment coding

• Knowledge of anatomy, pathophysiology, and medical terminology necessary to correctly code diagnoses

 

Hours of education: 18.  Earn 18 CEUs if currently, AAPC certified.  Risk Adjustment on-demand students are provided with two hours of one-on-one sessions with a CPC-I (Certified Professional Coder-Instructor), to be scheduled between the instructor and student.  The sessions are used to clarify any questions and review notes to prepare for the exam.  Tuition includes textbook, homework assignments, and practice exams.

Examinees must be a current member of AAPC, however, membership is not required to participate in class.

Live Virtual Course - $1,395 in full or $1,495 for a payment plan ($100 payment plan processing:  $750 is due at registration and the second payment of $745 is due by the 3rd class.)

On-Demand Course - $1,395 in full or $1,495 for a payment plan ($100 payment plan processing: $750 at registration and access to first 7 chapters of the class, $745 for access to last 5 chapters of the class.)
